M1, M2 & M3 MacBook Repairs

M1, M2 & M3 MacBook Repairs in Wollongong

Your M1, M2, or M3 MacBook is one of the most powerful laptops ever made — and one of the most expensive to lose. When something goes wrong, the panic sets in fast.

If you're reading this, you're probably dealing with one of these right now:

Your MacBook screen cracked or the display is showing strange lines / black patches

Battery draining in under two hours — or not charging at all

Spilled liquid on the keyboard and now it's dead or behaving erratically

MacBook won't turn on and you have no idea why

Keyboard keys stuck, unresponsive, or repeating letters

Fan running at full speed constantly (or not at all)

MagSafe or USB-C ports not working

Storage nearly full and performance has tanked

WHY M1, M2 & M3 MACBOOKS NEED SPECIALIST REPAIR

Apple's M-series chips changed everything. The CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, RAM, and storage controller are all fused onto a single chip — Apple calls it Unified Memory Architecture. It's brilliant engineering. It's also why not every repair shop can touch these machines without making things worse.

At PCC Computers, our technicians are trained specifically on Apple Silicon MacBooks. We use proper diagnostic tools, quality-matched replacement parts, and proven repair processes — so you get a MacBook that works like new, not one with hidden problems.

OUR M1 / M2 / M3 MACBOOK REPAIR SERVICES

1. MacBook Screen Replacement (M1, M2, M3)

A cracked or shattered MacBook display is one of the most common — and most stressful — repairs. Whether it's a hairline crack, broken backlight, or a display showing dead pixels or colour distortion, we fix it.

MacBook Air 13" M1 / M2 / M3 screen replacement

MacBook Air 15" M2 / M3 screen replacement

MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro / M2 Pro / M3 Pro screen replacement

MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max / M2 Max / M3 Max screen replacement

Liquid Retina & Liquid Retina XDR display repairs

2. Battery Replacement (All M-Chip MacBook Models)

Apple Silicon MacBooks are power-efficient — but batteries still degrade. If yours is swelling, dropping to 0% unexpectedly, or your MacBook shuts off under load, a battery replacement will make it feel brand new.

Genuine-quality replacement cells matched to your model

Battery health assessment included at no extra charge

Same-day battery replacement available at all two locations

macOS Battery Health settings correctly recalibrated post-repair

3. Liquid Damage Repair — MacBook Water Damage Treatment

Spilled coffee, water, or any liquid on your M-chip MacBook? TIME IS CRITICAL. The sooner you bring it in, the better the outcome. Do NOT try to turn it on — this is the most common mistake that causes irreversible damage.

Full disassembly and corrosion inspection under microscope

Ultrasonic board cleaning and component-level treatment

Data preservation prioritised throughout the process

Diagnosis — you only pay if we fix it

4. Keyboard & Trackpad Repair

Sticky keys, unresponsive keys, a sunken trackpad, or keys that ghost-type on their own are all issues we see regularly on M-series MacBooks. We fix the root cause — not just the symptom.

Individual key replacement where possible

Full keyboard assembly replacement for widespread failure

Trackpad click, Force Touch, and haptic feedback issues

5. Charging Port & MagSafe Repair

USB-C and MagSafe charging issues are increasingly common on M-chip MacBooks — often caused by debris in the port, damaged charging circuitry, or a faulty cable. We diagnose and resolve the root cause.

USB-C / Thunderbolt 4 port replacement

MagSafe 3 connector and cable inspection

Charging IC board-level diagnostics

6. Logic Board Diagnostics & Repair

Logic board failures in M-chip MacBooks are complex — but not always fatal. Symptoms include random shutdowns, no power, kernel panics, and display output failure. Our technicians carry out thorough diagnostics before recommending any course of action.

We are upfront: some logic board faults on Apple Silicon machines are not economically repairable due to unified chip architecture. We will always tell you honestly before you spend a cent.

7. Data Recovery — MacBook SSD

If your MacBook has failed but your data is still on the drive, we have a strong track record of recovering files, photos, and work documents. We always attempt data recovery before discussing any hardware replacement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you repair M1, M2, and M3 MacBooks that are out of warranty?

Absolutely. Being out of Apple's warranty doesn't mean you're out of options. PCC Computers repairs M-series MacBooks regardless of warranty status — at a fraction of Apple's out-of-warranty service prices.

Is it worth repairing an M1 or M2 MacBook, or should I just buy a new one?

For most screen, battery, keyboard, and liquid damage repairs — yes, repair is absolutely worth it. M-chip MacBooks are expensive to replace, and most physical damage repairs cost a fraction of a new device. We'll give you an honest assessment after the diagnosis.

How long does MacBook repair take?

Battery and charging port repairs are often same-day. Screen replacements typically take 1–2 business days. Liquid damage treatment takes 2–5 days depending on severity. Logic board diagnostics are completed same day, though repairs may take longer.

Will my data be safe during the repair?

For physical repairs (screen, battery, keyboard), your data is completely untouched — we don't need to access your files. For liquid damage or logic board work, we always prioritise data recovery first. We recommend backing up before any repair where possible.

Do you use genuine Apple parts?

We use genuine-quality parts that meet or match Apple's original specifications and performance standards. All parts carry our 90-day warranty. We are an independent repair shop — not an Apple Authorised Service Provider — which allows us to offer much more competitive pricing.

My MacBook won't turn on at all — is it dead?

Not necessarily. A MacBook that won't power on can be caused by a failed battery, a charging board fault, a liquid damage short, or a logic board issue — many of which are repairable. Bring it in for diagnosis and we'll tell you exactly what's going on.

Do you offer walk-in service?

Yes! Walk-ins are welcome at all three locations during business hours. If you want to skip any waiting time, call ahead or WhatsApp us to secure a time slot.

What suburbs near Wollongong do you serve?

We serve the entire Illawarra region: Wollongong, Warrawong, Shellharbour, Dapto, Fairy Meadow, Figtree, Corrimal, Thirroul, Helensburgh, Port Kembla, Albion Park, and surrounding areas.

Your MacBook Deserves Better Than Sitting Broken.

Whether it's a cracked screen, a dead battery, a water-damaged keyboard, or a MacBook that simply won't start — our Illawarra technicians have seen it all and fixed it all. Stop stressing. Start using your MacBook again.
